These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and WindowHound.com governing your use of windowhound.com and our matching services. By using the site or submitting a form, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

WindowHound.com is a free service that connects homeowners with licensed, insured window and door replacement companies in their area. We are not a window company, manufacturer, or installer, and we do not perform installation, measurement, or warranty work ourselves; we help you find local professionals who do.

Requesting a quote is always free, and there is no obligation to buy from, or continue with, any company you are matched with.

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use the service. You agree to provide accurate, current information in the quote form — installers rely on it to assess your project, confirm they serve your area, and reach you.

You should be the homeowner, or authorized by the homeowner, to request work on the property you describe. Installers generally require an owner present for an in-home consultation.

You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it by automated means except as permitted.

A match is not a contract for window work. The scope, product line, timeline, and price of any project are set solely between you and the company you choose, in the written quote and any agreement you sign with that company.

Prices, discounts, financing offers, and promotions described anywhere on this site are examples of what installers in our network have offered. They are the installer's offers, not ours, and are subject to that installer's terms, eligibility, credit approval, and expiration. Nothing on windowhound.com is an offer of credit.

When you submit our form with consent, you authorize WindowHound.com and the window companies you are matched with to contact you by phone, email, or SMS about your request, as described in our Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can opt out at any time (reply STOP to texts).

The window companies we match you with are independent businesses. WindowHound.com is not responsible for their work, communications, licensing, insurance, permits, product quality, or the outcome of any project. Your relationship — including any contract for work — is between you and that company.

Any product or workmanship warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the installing company, not by WindowHound.com. Ask for warranty terms in writing before you sign.

The site, its content, and our marks belong to WindowHound.com or our licensors. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes; you may not copy, scrape, or reuse content without permission.

Manufacturer and installer names or marks that appear on this site belong to their owners and are used to describe available products and services. Their appearance does not imply endorsement of WindowHound.com by those owners.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WindowHound.com will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the acts or omissions of independent contractors. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred dollars (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold WindowHound.com harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which WindowHound.com is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
